Many Glacier Access 2026: Parking, Shuttles & What Changed

Many Glacier is back.

After the Swiftcurrent construction that made 2025 access so painful, the valley is fully open for the 2026 season, and Glacier has suspended vehicle reservations parkwide. You can simply drive in.

Before you celebrate, the parking lots did not get any bigger. Many Glacier parking fills by mid-morning in July and August, and when the valley gridlocks, rangers temporarily close the road to incoming vehicles until traffic clears. Arrive at dawn, or plan a ride.

That is where our Many Glacier Shuttle comes in. Round-trip from Columbia Falls, straight to the trailheads for Grinnell Glacier, Grinnell Lake, Iceberg Lake, and Ptarmigan Tunnel. No parking stress, no gamble on a closed gate.

Shuttle details for 2026: operating July 1 through September 30, departing from Columbia Falls. $179 per person, or $149 per person for groups of 4 or more. Private van available for up to 14 people at $1,300. The shuttle runs with a minimum of 4 booked seats.
