Who We Are
Glacier Hikes & Bikes runs this website from our shop at 7309 Hwy 2 E, Columbia Falls, Montana 59912. This page explains what we collect when you visit, ask about a trip or book one, who handles that information for us, and how to reach us about it.
What You Send Us
When you use the contact or request form, we receive what you type: your name, email address, phone number, your message, the trip you are asking about, your preferred dates, how many adults and children are in your group and where you are staying. The form also records which page you sent it from.
We keep those requests in our own database (hosted by Cloudflare) so we can answer you and run the trip, and the form emails a copy to us. We use your details to reply, to confirm bookings and to run the day you booked. We do not sell them.
The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person and uses your connection's address to do it.
Booking and Payment
Online bookings run through Xola, our booking and checkout service. When you book, Xola collects your name, contact details and payment card and processes the payment; we never see your full card number. Xola's own privacy policy covers what it holds.
Our site records that a booking was started from one of our pages so we can tell which pages lead to bookings. That record holds the trip and the date, not your name or card.
How We Measure the Site
To see which pages help visitors and which do not, this site loads Google Tag Manager, which runs Google Analytics 4, Google Ads conversion tracking and the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel. These services set cookies and record pages viewed, searches made on our booking bar, and clicks on Book Now and the contact form. Google and Meta process that data under their own privacy policies, and their advertising tools may use it to show you our ads on other sites.
The site also uses Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors move through pages (scrolling, clicks and taps) and plays those sessions back to us as anonymised recordings and heatmaps. That data is sent to and processed by Microsoft in the United States under Microsoft's privacy statement. Clarity masks what you type into forms.
None of these tools run on our draft or test copies of the site, only on glacierhikesandbikes.com.
Cookies and Your Choices
The measurement tools above use cookies and similar identifiers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, use the opt-outs Google, Meta and Microsoft offer, or browse with an ad blocker; the site works without them.
If you would rather not be measured at all, you can book and ask about trips by phone at (406) 871-2448 or by email at hello@glacierhikesandbikes.com.
Email and Text Updates
If we offer an email or text list, joining it is your choice, every message carries a way to stop, and we use the list only to send our own news and offers. We do not share the list.
Children
This site is for adults planning trips. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13; a parent or guardian books for them.
Keeping and Deleting Your Information
We keep trip requests and booking records for as long as we need them to run the business and meet our legal and tax duties. Email us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete what we are not required to keep.
Questions
Email hello@glacierhikesandbikes.com or call (406) 871-2448. If we change this policy, the date at the top changes with it.
