Two days in the wilderness with an experienced Appalachian Trail thru-hiker, built to help you explore the backcountry with confidence and come home wanting more.

Our specially curated 2-day trip is for anyone who has wanted to try backpacking and has not known where to start. Forget the 50-pound burden: we make sure you pack only the essentials for a comfortable and unforgettable journey. Nervous to try? We have your back.

An Education, Not Just an Adventure

This trip equips you with the knowledge and skills to navigate the outdoors confidently and safely. You learn essential wilderness practices, from responsible gear selection to proper campsite setup, from a guide who has walked more trail than most people ever will.

Where We Go

The Flathead National Forest, the wild country bordering Glacier National Park: hidden waterfalls, a night under a blanket of stars, and the true meaning of getting away from it all. Your guide picks the route for the season and your group.

Gear

Need gear? Our ultralight backpacking gear rental is the kit our guides use themselves, and the what to bring page has the packing advice. Every trip includes food and bear spray.

Ready for More?

When two days feels like the start, the 3 day backpacking trip goes deeper, and custom trips run three to five days on your terms.
