Head into the backcountry without buying a kit: ultralight backpacking gear, handpicked by our guides, rented from our shop in Columbia Falls.

Do not have everything you need? Our rental kit is the gear our guides carry themselves, chosen for weight, durability and comfort on the trails of the Flathead National Forest and the country bordering Glacier National Park. Rent the full set or just the pieces you are missing.

What We Carry

Lightweight tents, 50 to 70 liter backpacks, sleeping bags and pads, headlamps, water filtration, cooking equipment and bear safety gear are the heart of the kit. The full itemized list with per-night pricing is on its way to this page; until then, send us what you need and we confirm by email.

Pack Light, Go Far

Forget the 50-pound burden. Our what to bring page has expert packing advice, and the intro to backpacking trip teaches gear selection and campsite setup on a two-day trip with a guide.

Guided Trips

If you would rather have the route, the food and the bear safety handled, see the 3 day backpacking trip and custom trips.

“Kate and Brandon are fantastic. They recommended fun activities in the area, supplied all of our gear, and offered a locals insight, and we didn't know who to ask. The shop is conveniently located and they were flexible, professional, and lovely people. Highly recommend.”

“Amazing time out! Would definitely recommend taking a tour with Patrick. He was super helpful, listened to us, and made the trip very enjoyable. Any issues we had with gear or even questions about the park, he was quick to answer and help out with. The team was very welcoming and accommodating and the food they packed hit the spot after a ride up. I loved every moment even though we went in the rain!”
