Half a day on a quiet paved road inside Glacier National Park, with Lake McDonald behind you, wildflowers beside you and a picnic lunch on the North Fork River at the turnaround.
Camas Road is the ride for anyone who wants Glacier on an e-bike without committing a whole day or a long climb. It runs from Apgar Village up the west side of the park, lightly traveled by vehicles and with a shoulder to ride on, which makes for a comfortable and enjoyable ride. This 25-mile round trip takes you past views of Lake McDonald, wildflower-filled meadows and vistas of the Lewis and Livingston Ranges.
How the Half Day Goes
We meet at our shop, 7309 Hwy 2 E in Columbia Falls, and bring you to Apgar Village to start the ride. Your guide sets an easy pace with stops for photos and the wildlife that likes these meadows. The turnaround is the North Fork River, where you enjoy a relaxed, picnic-style lunch in the park’s peaceful scenery before the ride back to Apgar and the drive to the shop.
Who It Suits
Perfect for anyone looking to experience Glacier in an active, unique way: families, first-time e-bikers, and riders who want a morning in the park and the afternoon free. Guided support and the e-bike’s pedal assist mean you set the effort.
What to Bring
Your Glacier National Park pass, weather-appropriate layers, closed-toe shoes, sunglasses, gloves, a water bottle, sunscreen and a small backpack. We provide the e-bike, a helmet, your guide and lunch.
Ready for the Big Ride?
When you want the whole day and the famous climb, the Going-to-the-Sun Road e-bike tour takes you up to 32 miles with lunch at a viewpoint.
