Skip the drive and the parking: our shuttle leaves the shop in Columbia Falls at 11:00 am and drops you at the Avalanche Lake trailhead, the perfect starting point for riding Going-to-the-Sun Road.
Hop on for a seamless biking adventure in Glacier National Park. Departing from our shop at 7309 Hwy 2 E, we transport you and your bike directly to the Avalanche Lake trailhead, where you begin your ride on one of the most scenic roads in the world. In the afternoon the shuttle brings you back to the shop; in past seasons the return has been around 4 to 5 pm.
What to Bring
Your own Glacier National Park pass, which is not included. We highly recommend pre-purchasing it on the park’s fees page. Bring layers, water, sunscreen and whatever you need for the day on the bike.
The Bike
Bike rental is not included; please reserve your e-bike separately, or bring your own bike.
Be on Time
Other guests are involved in shuttle transportation and it is everyone’s responsibility to be on time. Any delay in transporting guests results in a minimum $250 fee and up to a 3 hour wait for a return shuttle.
The Ride
From Avalanche, Going-to-the-Sun Road climbs along McDonald Creek toward The Loop and, when the road is open to the top, Logan Pass at over 6,600 feet. How far you ride is up to you and the road status that day. Check the park’s road status before you come, and read our guide to biking Going-to-the-Sun Road: the car-free weeks, the distances from Avalanche and the park’s rules.
Rather Have a Guide?
The Going-to-the-Sun Road e-bike tour handles the bike, the shuttle, the route and lunch.
